Here at the Wine Cellar, you’ll often hear us say, “We got into this business in order to drink better for less.” It’s the truth and we want you to drink better for less as well! It is for that very reason that we created a mountain of value wines. In some stores (and not just wine shops), the term “value” tends to insinuate items of lesser quality. Here is a peek inside our brains (read at your own risk) and a peek at how we are able to create value for you…and us! We work with over 20 different wine vendors, many of whom are placed in a position where they are overstocked on certain wines…this can stem from many different reasons as there are many variables in the wine biz. Little shops like ours get to taste these wines first, and take a position on their remaining inventory. In many cases, it just comes down to a numbers game from the vendors point of view. They want it out of their warehouse, and, if after tasting the wines, we conclude they are AT LEAST worth what we will charge for them, we take a position on them. It’s one way we can run with the big dogs in this market. That being said, here is the pricing structure we offer on all the wines in this stack, ranging from Pinot Grigios to Chiantis to Malbecs to Moscatos to Cabernets, et cetera et cetera….
Single bottle price: $8.99
2 or more bottle price: $7.50/ea
Case price: $80 ($6.67/btl)
And on Tuesdays (also known as Threesday Tuesday), case price applies to 3 bottles or more. How do we do it? Short answer…we are nerds.
Just a guy trying to keep your wine racks and glasses full,
Rick
